My experience in Audio Visual Technology has primarily been developed through voluntary work in my previous school and local church.
I've had the opportunity to run sound, lights and tech for many different types of events at school including school productions, talent shows, band nights, balls, cultural/religious events and a 1000+ person concert. In addition to live shows, I also have experience mixing in studio for Official examinations.
At church I regularly volunteer on a weekly basis where I run FOH, manage live streaming, manage tech for events, truss work, cable management and handle other tech issues.
These experiences have allowed me to gain an understanding of how audio visual equipment is prepared and used for events, helping me develop my confidence, teamwork, and technical understanding while strengthening my interest in pursuing a career in the live sound industry.
Both of these settings have given me the opportunity to work with professional industry equipment, giving me time to familiarise with them. Some of the equipment I have used are: Soundcraft, Sennheiser, Behringer, Shure, dbx, Electro Voice, Roland, Chamsys, Chauvet, ATEM, Kramer, Sony and many others.
